Customized toolbars disappear between Manage & Edit mode tabs

Post by User10232023 »

Using PSP2021 and the customized (standard & tools) toolbars will occasionally loose all customizations.
It only happens after I returned to the Edit mode tab from the Manage tab, which I use to browse images in folders.

The first time this happened (I'm pretty sure) was during PSP2023 trial last month.
I completely uninstalled 2023 before installing retail cd version PSP2021.
Then searched the forums to find out how to save my customized "workspace" just in case.
Well its happened two times since and using load workspace is okay but also kind of frustrating.

I don't recall it happening when I used the PSP2021 trial months back.
So was this a result of having installed PSP2023 trial and can I remove/fix???
Or is this a bug in PSP2021?

No, I don't believe that 2023 had anything to do with it. I remember the exact same thing happening to me when testing a previous version; possibly 2021. Loading a saved workspace is the correct approach. Since I do all my work in Edit, it's no longer an issue.

Its pretty minor compared to the bugs and CTD's I saw during PSP2023 trial.
Not a big concern since PSP21's Browse doesn't let me simply click to open thumbnails in PSP's Edit, instead that click will open the image in some full screen view.
Guess I'll start looking for another brand of thumbnail viewer that hopefully more replicates old Jasc PSP 5 to 9's way of seeing all images in file folders with name under thumbnail.
Thank you.
