Hello.
In November I took advantage of the black Friday sale to upgrade to 2023 ultimate.
Ever since then every time I go in to edit images after I save and leave...when I go back ALL CHANGES ARE GONE. When I look at the files, not one of them have been updated since I upgraded PSP. I have never had this happen. I just wasted HOURS working on book cover designs only to have them disappear (this is the second time it's happened since installing).
Any tips on what's gone wrong??? I can't reinstall 2022 because my link is too old...but I NEED this program to work. I have work that needs done ASAP.
UPDATED & EDITED to add: Correction. After finding another thread in this forum I found the actually edited work...but it was saved in a totally different folder than the one I opened the file from.
Example: I open a PSP file in the folder: work/book1 do all of my editing. When I hit ctrl+s, it saves to work/book3 instead. WHY? How can I fix that?
Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: 2023 ultimate not saving???
For me, PSP 2023 since the last update, does not save correctly . If using the Save button it will often save in some unrelated folder e.g. a folder that was used before.
Before the update if I clicked save on a file it always saved back to the original folder, even when I dragged and dropped the file into PSP, but not anymore.
These days I try to get into the habit of choosing Save As so I can make sure it is saving to the correct folder.
I also now try to remember to make sure the file has updated in the folder before I close any images.
Otherwise I've had to hunt through past folders trying to find where PSP 2023 decided to save my file if I clicked on the Save button.
If you have closed PSP since you last saved the file I suggest you search your folders for the file name and you should find it/them in some other folder.

Re: 2023 ultimate not saving???
Thanks. This is such a huge flaw in 2023. I shouldn't have to "save as" to have it go back where I got it from. It should save where you opened it from. SO annoying.

Re: 2023 ultimate not saving???
I am having a similar problem. Using my previous version of Paintshop Pro (2020) I could open a photo file from one folder (call it "A") and save the edited picture to a different folder (call it "Done") and each time I opened a new photo for editing, the source folder would automatically be "A", and the folder automatically selected when I saved the edited copy was "Done". And, after saving all those files to their new folder, when I used the Window-Close All function, every opened edited file would be automatically saved with an unedited copy saved as well, in an auto-preserve folder created inside the original source folder "A".
With my new 2023 version of Paintshop Pro this no longer works. I have to open and edit all picture files in "A" at one time, use Window-Close All to get them saved and have the auto-preserve folder created. Then I have to open them all again and save each of the edited pictures to the "Done" folder individually, every time having to select "Done" as the save to folder since folder "A" is automatically selected as the save to folder instead of the last folder I saved to---being "Done".
All this takes so much more time than it used to on my previous version I am very frustrated. Any suggestions of how to fix this?
