New problem with text

Using text is easy, right? Just type your letters and it comes out a vector, then you can double click on it to edit it for size, font,etc...
Well, all of a sudden I can't edit the text anymore. I'm wondering if something in preferences got changed or what has happened? I use both PSP X6 and X7 and I am running Windows 10.

There is a "create as" drop down box in the tool preferences that lets you choose what type of object is created. You have raster, floating selection, or vector. If you want the text to be editable this has to be set to vector.

Must have been a temporary glitch because today it's doing what it's supposed to do. Thanks.
