VS 2023 difficult to open

I finally gave in to the pop ups and purchased VS2023.

Seems to run o/k but with the usual unexpected crashes.

Sometimes won't start and I need to use Task Master to remove some residual parts of the programme which seems to linger after closing.

When these are deleted in Task Master the programme opens correctly.

This was a common occurence in earlier versions, which I thought had been corrected.

No, I have the same problem from time to time. But I have learned to give the program a few seconds -- and I stress seconds -- to close down fully, before I try reopening. If I reopen too quickly, I find that it will not reopen, and when I go into Task Manager, I too find those remnants which I use 'End Task' on. But usually they are gone after those few seconds. If yours are taking a much longer time to disappear, then I can only suggest that you continue to use your 'search and destroy' on them in Task Manager and/or complain more directly to Corel.

Thanks for the reply Ken.

I have not waited a long time for the ghost programmes to disappear, but they are still there quite a while later. On the example shown it was around 3 hours since the last session.

i had been using PSP 2023 in the interim period.

As with most things Corel, I can live with it.

At least you know to look in Task Manager when it happens!!
