How can I use PSP to remove light reflections on a surface

Post by jparnold »

I have a photo of stucco embossed aluminum sheet which appear to have been taken with a light shining on it which results in parts of the image being a lot lighter (brightness) than other parts and wonder what tools if any in PSP can be used to change the brightness and contrast to be about the same across the entire surface.
Here is that image -

-> Duplicate the Background layer.
-> Image / Mirror / Mirror Horizontal
-> Use the Eraser tool set to Hardness zero to erase the right part of the duplicated layer.
-> Merge all layers
-> Effects / Photo effects / Black & white film

Thanks Jean-Luc Aha yes layers. I don't use them enough and keep forgetting how useful they are.
