Import from network drive

Hi

I just upgraded to Ultimate 2023 hoping they would finally support networked drives. I use a Raid NAS for my video storage. It is a mapped Network drive on my PC.

Sadly Videostudio (all versions I have used) doesn't seem to see or recognize the mapped drive when you try to select the import directory. I find it impossible to believe in this day and age a program doesnt support a mapped network drive. I have linked my Video library to the NAS drive. Ultimate sees the Video library, but when I select it Ultimate goes off into LaLa land.

Any thoughts?

FWIW, for years now, I've use VS with mapped shares on a variety of NASs, e.g. QNAP, without any issues. If the drive shows up as a drive letter in Explorer then VS should see it as it sees any other drive letters in Windows.

Thanks. I should have been clearer, I can actually see the networked NAS drive and access it in the File menu. Its in the import directory selection that it doesnt appear.

I've only ever used drag & drop to put files onto the timeline. It has worked fine.
