I have purchased VideoStudio every version since X4 but never really used it enough to learn about it. I just purchased VideoStudio Ultimate 2023 and installed it.
This time I plan to learn it!! I do have one question,
When I installed VideoStudio Ultimate 2023 and the overlay pack it put a folder for VideoStudio Ultimate 2023 and another folder for the overlays. Once it is installed do those folder have to stay on my desktop? I'm surprised it didn't put those on my C drive although I realize my desktop is part of my C drive but programs don't put folders on my desktop when I install them except VideoStudio Ultimate.
Just wondering if I need them once the program is installed? if so can they be moved?
question about the install of VideoStudio Ultimate 2023

Re: question about the install of VideoStudio Ultimate 2023
Whether you keep them is up to you, but they can be useful if ever you need to reinstall things without having to download everything again. I personally have kept things, but moved them to c:\Program Files\Corel folder where you could keep them in a new folder with a name you recognize. Moving them from the desktop is easy and straightforward. I agree that there was really no need for Corel to have put them on your desktop in the first place, though.

Re: question about the install of VideoStudio Ultimate 2023
Thanks Ken,
When I did a fresh install of Win10 the other day I tried to install using the setup file in the 64 bit/ultimate folder and got a fatal error so I deleted the folder and downloaded from Corel. Good think I have a fast computer it didn't take long at all. Nice to know that I can use the folder if I need to install again, I'll save the folders to my download/Corel folder on my storage drive. I was just unsure if they needed to be on the desktop for the program to run, you answered my question and I think you again..
