dv-to-dvd wizard issue

Post by Dominic »

i recently got videostudio 9 with the awesome new features. I have a tv show and a crap load of D8 tapes of raw footage. i just want to store my D8 tapes on dvd for archiving without any fancy smancy themed templates or related so i can reuse my tapes. i want the straight raw footage without audio crossfades or video tweaking also. i have recorded an entire 1 hour 30 min D8 to a dvd using the dv-to-dvd wizard and used the "template none" button, but when it's burned to disc, it shows a fancy 4 chapter button with next button to select to other chapters and music. the other issue i had was before another scene pops up, the audio fades out slightly for about a second, then returns full when the new scene shows. I do not want my scenes to fade out in audio at all. i was suggesting perhaps record the entire tape in movie wizard, and selecting no menu, but the audio still fades out before each new scene. is there any way to stop the audio from fading out and and/or have it use a template in dv-to-dvd wizard?

I would not use the DV to DVD Wizard at all, it gives you very little control. Use the normal Capture tab in Videostudio to capture your D8 material, transcode it to MPEG2, and then burn a DVD as indicated in the top post in this forum.
