Why was the old smudge tool removed?

Post by Ald-52 »

Hi all, My first post here. I just downloaded Paintshop Pro. It's the first time I've looked at the program, since it was free, many years ago. I'm perplexed to find that the old smudge tool is no longer presnt. Did the devs remove it? If so, why? I found it so useful. Is there another way to smudge?

Many thanks.

Hello Ald-52 and welcome to the forum. The smudge tool is nested on the tool directly below the paintbrush. Click on the downward arrow to reveal the tools nested there.

Sorry; I can't remember the version number. It was back in the 1990s. Even then, it wasn't normally free, but occasionally, a free copy could be found on a CD-ROM issued with one of the computer magazines. It was before Corel acquired the program.
