Render "successful" but playback stops partway through the video
So I've been recording gameplay footage with OBS and then editing it in VideoStudio 2023. Half the time, the videos come out fine and I can play back the finished mp4 file no problem. The other half of the time, the video stops about 10 minutes in. Sometimes I can get the audio to keep playing past that 10min point, but most of the time, the video just resets back to the beginning and/or I get a message saying the video codec isn't supported. At first, I thought this was an OBS issue since I'm new to the software, but the raw and remux files from there both play back fine. The files play in VideoStudio just fine before rendering. It's only after they're rendered and I try to play them back or upload them to YouTube that there is a playback issue. I don't get I it. Mp4 is a standard format, and I am getting the videos to open and partially play. Why is this happening and how do I go about finding the problem when the occurrences are frequent but inconsistent?

Re: Render "successful" but playback stops partway through the video
happens to me if i screen record, mainly becaase VS does not like that I have 8 audio streams/channels in my sound card, and only 2 carry audio, so VS does funky stuff, but only sometimes. I found that if I mute, then grab the audio from Audacity using the lame plugin instead, drag that ripped mp3 into my timeline, that things start working again. It may be possible to get ffmpeg to fix the audio streams, sometimes it's just a bit more work.
