Files from older versions

Post by paulatwoodlands »

Hello everyone, I've just installed "Studio 26" following a windows re-install & was wondering if I will be able to import projects originally created using earlier versions?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul.

Sorry; confusing myself!! That's the trouble with having both installed.
I should have said VideoStudio 2022 & earlier still versions.
Thanks, Paul.

Hi
Yes we can open projects created with old versions of Video Studio with newer versions.
However if you have uninstalled the old versions and used samples, filters, effects that are no longer used on the newer version, there may be issues.
All you can do is give it a go to see how far you get.
If you have problems then its better to use the original program.

Post updated
Once you have opened your project using 2022 and saved you will not be able to open with the older version.
I suggest you save a copy of the VSP file to open using 2022, retaining the original VSP should you need it for the original version
