I live in Australia. recently, a major internet provider ceased their email service.
I chose to get a new email provider, and I changed this on my account.
I wanted to use my PSP ULT so I clicked on the icon, and recieved a popup asking for my information. I had set my communications to 'I would like to be notified of critical patches useful product updates and other information'.
The popup said Corel 'wanted to get to know me'. there was no way out of this popup - the program would not open unless I filled out information. I think this is really unfair
I put in my changed email - because my old one (20 years!) was no longer available.
I then recieved multiple error messages.
After a lot of hassle over the next week (no phone number for Australia, emails kept on not recognising the screenshots I had sent) I got hold of chat, and was told to clean the program and reinstall with the original email - the program now works.
but this means I can't verify any other issues, because I can't verify information sent to that old email address.
is there anything I can do?
and BTW (I know you guys are not Corel) I recieved truly horrible service *sigh*

Re: Changing an email address
There are two possible accounts we could be talking about here. The first is the email address you used to register with this forum. The one we have for you is (or was) with iinet.net.au But the other account is the one you have with Corel/Alludo. That is what you use to register your products with Corel/Alludo. They might, however, be the same. But changing your email address with one account, will not automatically change your email address with the other account.
So are we talking about two quite different accounts here, or have you used exactly the same account with both, but only changed the details with one of them? If so, which one? I am guessing you may have changed it on your Corel/Alludo registration account, not the one for this forum. But have now changed it back.
But by the sounds of it, you seem to be worried that you will not now receive information from this forum because you have gone back to the old address.

Re: Changing an email address
If you are concerned about not being notified about updates to PSP, go to Help - Message Preferences and tick either or both boxes and you will be notified within the program itself when you launch it. This is not an email notification.
Also, you can manually check at any time by going to Help - Check For Updates.
Hope this helps.
