I would like to emulate the ability of some commercial DVDs to select the look and feel of the background, images and music used in a primary menu to navigate the disc. The selection made would change the background color scheme between 2 options, and alter the background music or image associated with the chosen color scheme.
Think of it as a simple "skinning" of the DVD.
It might work like this --
Front of DVD has 2 buttons OR slide pictures "A" and "B" - these act as the entry to the disc.
Select "A" and it leads you to a simple 4 chapter menu linked to a set color scheme, say yellow, with a set background image, say a JPG of a field of daffodils.
Select "B" and it leads you to a simple 4 chapter menu -- linked to the same chapters as activated by the chapter menu links in scheme "A." However, the scheme may use a different color (say dominant red) with a a different background image (say a field of poppies).
Can this type of user selectable scheme be emulated by DVD MF4 Disc Creator??
DVD MF4 Disc Creator - Emulating User Switchable Menus??
DVD MF uses a menu wizard that guides you through the menu creation. You don't have alot of options in terms of adding more menus (other than Title and Chapter menus). I suppose you could do this if you duplicated your assets (assuming you have room on your disc). You would have to include two versions of the same video, then customize the resulting Chapter Menus.
DVD WorkShop 2.x (Full or Express) gives you much more flexibility in adding menus...
