memory access violation

Post by Miosh »

When I try to use some filters on my 32 bit version of psp 2017 and psp 2020 I get the error code memory acces violation. I was on support with Microsoft for one hour and a half and they could nt fix it, any suggestions what to do?

Thx, but that was about a specific filter and had nothing to do with me getting memory access violation error.

Okay, which plug-in(s) are giving you the memory access violation? If I have it, I'll test it.

Filter name is Slosh.net Sloshifiers - Please Clayify and the filter MuRa's Seamless - Shift at Zigzag...
I did a clean installation of Windows 10 and reinstalled psp 2020. WTF is wrong!? Sry my language but I am so frustrated atm.

Sorry, I don't have those exact plug-ins. I do have some MuRa filters (Cloud, Copies, Perspective Tiling, Pole Transform & Tone) and they all work with no issue in PSP2020 version 22.2.0.8.

I find they work fine in older versions of PSP. I normally use PSP 2023 but I've found over the years that those old FM filters that give the memory access violation error in newer PSP versions will work fine in PSPX. Hence I take my images over to that if I need to use any of those old filters that do not work in newer PSP 32 bit or in PSP 64bit via the Plugin Bridge.
I tested both of the ones you mentioned and they are working fine in my PSPX on the latest Win 11 system.
I'm not sure now what PSP version they stopped working. Turning off DEP may help but I prefer not to do that, hence the use of PSPX
