Expert Needed to Make My Wheels White.

Post by Obba »

Hi there,
I have a white car and was thinking of having the wheels powder coated White.
I have seen Tesla's with white wheels and I think they look pretty nice and it got me thinking on how my car would look with White wheels.
My car is a 2018 Kia Sportage, wheel size 19".

I had a go myself using my old Paintshop Pro X8 (paid for legit copy), and the result was disastrous, lol! Even surprised me at how 'dark' the Car's White is!

I have tried to use various Mag Wheel websites (whereby you can change the wheels 'virtually'), but they only allow other styles to go on and then I couldn't find any that were White in colour.

Here's an example of a Tesla with the White Wheels.

Genuine T wheels. 19"

I've seen a few of them around the coast. Looks snazy ;)

If anybody can help, that would be great.
Thanks,
Obba.

Hi all,
With no one replying. I am wondering if I am int he right section of the forum.

Or have a done something wrong with my post, as in having the photo's in full/shown or should they have been in a file format that one could download and edit?

Sorry people, I'm not used to this type of photo/shop lingo...

Thanks,
Alan.

It's only been a day. Sometimes we don't always have a solution immediately. Or those that have a solution haven't seen the post yet.

I don't have a solution, the best I can come up with is to use the pen tool to create a vector in the shape of your rims colored white. It won't be the same, but it'll be white. Other option, find a picture of the white colored rim facing head-on and copy and paste as new layer aligning them over your own wheels.

This is the best I could do. Not perfect but a reasonable idea of
what it would look like.

Hi Obba
As you may be aware your images are showing full size, this is a problem with the forums in how it handles images using HTTP links.
The forum does have an alternative means to add images to our posts using the Attachment option.
When composing your post choose the Full Editor and Preview option, Bottom Left is an Attachment tab, here we can Add Files, browse our hard drive for our Jpeg, place cursor on post to Place in Line.
And that’s it, no need to upload your images to imgur.com
I have updated your post to show Jpegs as thumbnails.
Thanks for your understanding….

Hi Arhee,
That looks really good and thankyou so much for having a go at it.
But I'm not sure if you can see, but the wheel is sort of Chrome on the front, with a Grey (Gray?), inside.
It was the Chrome and Grey to be made White..

I was hoping to see what the whole wheel in White would look like.

Many thanks,
Obba.
