Time Remapping with Multi-Cam video editing

Post by eScooterBrett »

Most of my video editing will be multi-cam.

Basically loading up 3 videos, all the same length, and using the multi-cam editing to build a video that goes between full screen, split screen, picture in picture, etc...

There are parts where I want to speed up one of the 3 videos (using time remapping), but also want the other 2 videos to be time remapped (in the background), so when the sped up portion is complete, I can simply jump to camera 2 or 3, and it will be at the correct time.

In other words... I want to fast forward through all 3 cameras, even though I am only using one camera/video for that section.

Can I apply this to all three videos at the same time, for a given section, but only use one or two of these videos (using the multi-cam editing) in my final output?

BONUS Question...

If I plan on adding music during these "fast forward" sections (so messed up audio is not an issue)... can I select everything (audio and video) for a given period let's say from 5 min mark to 10 min mark... time remap it all (fast forwarding for 5 minutes)... so that everything stays together in the timeline, when I return to normal speed at the 11 minute mark, once again switching from camera to camera with multi-cam editing?
