is this product dead?

Post by hhare »

I have ASP2 and have been waiting for a ASP3 to work flawlessly on linux (version i was trying kept on failing). I thought i'd give it a go again after a few years wait (ASP2 is fine so no rush), but last update was two years ago.
is it worth it? I'm having a try of darktable as that's free but i do like ASP2 and am wondering if Corel are serious about the product. It would be nice to see it pick up the pace a bit. In today's world of CI/CD where tech leaders tell us that they deploy hundreds of updates a week, it's a bit of a surprise to see two years have passed since ASP3.7 came out

At the moment it is still dead and has been for many years, (3.7 was 2017), however...as Aftershot Lab has recently been incorporated into PSP2023 (along with that annoying advert to purchase ASP3) I would imagine before long it will be relaunched with a new name...It will no doubt be the same meat, just different gravy.
