I have been trying to pixelate two areas of a particular video.
1) I wanted to pixelate the licence plate and the pixelation to follow the licence plate as the car moves out of the garage which I have managed to achieve.
2) I wanted a fixed pixelation point to cover the date and time at the top.
But as the car drives out the pixelation tries to follow the cars roof.
Is there a tutorial anywhere on fixing a pixelated or blurred area to a specific point on the video?
I hope that made sense.
Cheers

Hi
I assume you use track motion to follow the number plate
1 / As the date is static, placing an image on the overlay track, resize to cover the date should do the trick.
I found M37.bmp that could be used, resaved as JPG
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2023\Samples\Image
2 / Using Mask Creator would cut the date and time out of the frame, allowing the background to show through
I am sure there are other ways to achieve this.
Can you update your profile to show the VS program you are working with, Cheers

Re: Pixellate fixed point in Videostudio
Thanks for reply.
Have updated profile now.
Seems strange that I can't just put a pixelated box somewhere on the screen and just have it there static.
I thought I'd done something like that before, maybe it was a different version of videostudio.
Cheers

If you have a folder called New Blue Essentials in your FX library, you can use Pixelator to blur a specific area this will remain static as the video plays

You can
add any image to the overlay track, resize the image via the preview screen, position to the top, over the date/time.
Download the attached image from my previous post.
another option... create a text box and add a backdrop, that would also cover the Date / Times

Yes I downloaded the image and gave it a go.You can add any image to the overlay track, resize the image via the preview screen, position to the top, over the date/time.

I just meant that I would have assumed I could drag a box over whatever I wanted to hide and click pixelate, much the same as the motion tracking part, but without the motion tracking.
I hope that made sense, it made sense in my head.
I'm sure I did it years ago but my memory is awful.
I've only ever used Corel video editing programs so maybe I dreamt it.
Cheers
