I installed the new update, but according to the release notes there is a new enhancement - New! Haze Removal: Reduce haze in your photos in a few clicks (Adjust > Haze Removal).
However, I cannot find it anywhere. It is not in the adjust menu, and not in the view customize so I can add to the menu?

@sdracup - if you go to help -> About...
What is the version number you see? You should see 25.2.x.x (those Xs might be 0.58, but the 25 (2023) and 2 (update 2) are the important parts)

If you reset your workspace to defaults do you see Haze Removal?

I did a full re-install earlier this week and it was already on Update 2 so I can't compare to installing the update on top of 2023. I see Haze removal in the Adjust menu under the "Softeness" menu and before the "Skin Smoothing" option. It's similarly found in the Customize dialog between the same options.

Curiosity question. A workaround for removing haze in previous PSP versions was to use the Fade Correction filter. It worked fairly well and also helped with underwater pictures. does the haze removal filter in the 2023 update work better?

For me in my personal tests. I prefer it to the usual workarounds. But it's not a perfect solution. You may find yourself using it in conjunction with other filters to get a better result. But it wasn't always better, sometimes they were almost identical. Sometimes the results could be identical if I added fill light/clarity filter.

Haze Removal was also missing for me after I installed the Patch.
I used View/Customise to drag the tool into the correct place in the Adjust Menu. I tested it and it is working.

I can't get the update to install. I currently have 25.1.0.28X64 so I should be able to install the 25.2 update.

I click on the link download then open the file. Then the Installation Wiz runs and the status bar goes all the way to the right. After a minute or so I get a window that says No update of your installed software is required at this time. Click OK then get a window that says the update wasn't installed and there was a fatal error. Yesterday (Friday afternoon) I emailed Corel support but haven't heard back yet.

Anyone else have this issue?

As far as i know PSP with SP1 was version 25.1.0.32, at least that is what i had.

You may be best to uninstall the program, then download the installation files again, that should install PSP including SP2

The update must be having issues. I had 2 files open, and copied one and added as a new layer to the other. I did blending, but every time I try to merge the layers, the program is crashing. I did a reboot, and it occurred again. 3 times now. I guess I will have to open a case on it.

You can try doing another reset to see if that helps.
