When I want to create a new image 500 x 500 it gets very small, not as it was before I reinstalled the 2022 version.
When I mail that image in psp format to my friend it gets normal (big) when she opens it in psp.
Is there a setting I must change?
New image error

Re: New image error
Hi Miosh and welcome to the forum.
What do you mean by "it gets very small"? Are you saying the pixel dimensions change or it just looks small in your workspace?

Re: New image error
It looks smaller in my psp. So I can no longer create any tags.
I can show a picture if I did know how to insert here.

Re: New image error
Have you tried either:
(1) holding down the Ctrl key and rolling the mouse wheel, which should either enlarge or reduce the size of the image on your screen; or
(2) tapping the + symbol on the numerical keyboard part (far right) of your keyboard, which should do the same thing.
With either of these, you should also see the size increase showing in the name tab at the top left of your workspace on screen == showing "Name.jpg @ 20% background" increasing up through the % number. Using the - symbol or rolling the mouse wheel backwards (while still holding down the Ctr; key) should reduce that size.

Re: New image error
That will make the image larger in %
I want it to be 500 x 500 and in 100%, scrolling gets it to higher %.
It looks more like 100 x 100, at 100% as it is now.
The image on left is mine 500 x 500 pix. the image on the right side is my friends 500 x500 pix, both are 100% but shows different.

Re: New image error
Following Ken's instructions will not increase the pixel size of your image. It will just make it appear larger in the workspace. It will still be 500 x 500 pixels.
As you can see when you click on the following images both images are 500 x 500 pixels but one appears small and the other large.

Re: New image error
So, how do I get the correct size of my images? 500 x 500 was just an example, it's the same with other pixel sizes.

Re: New image error
For a 600x500 pixel image, your example shows that it is showing at the correct size. Your screenshot resolution is 3840 x 2160 that tiny square is exactly 600x500 pixels in size at 100%.
I think your issue is that you assume that 500x500 must physically look the same on all monitors. But that's not the case. Pixels are not a physical size. How "big" they appear on the screen and in comparison to other things depends on resolution, physical size of the screen, Windows scaling, and zoom.
Your example image shows that they are both at 100% but these are on two different screens and most likely at different resolutions. If I assume you didn't do any stretching of your friend's screenshot and she started with a 500x500 image, I guess her resolution is 55% smaller than your screen resolution or 1728x948. Which is not a standard but 1600x900 is and that would be 59% smaller than your screen. With fewer pixels 500x500 takes up more space on the screen. You just have a higher resolution. If you decrease the resolution of your monitor that 600x500 pixel image will look bigger on your screen.
