MultiCamCapture.exe 2.1.0.144 Crashes after opening for a split second.

Post by Klepper »

When I try to open up MulticamCapture it crashes, I get this for a split second:
2023-08-06 17_53_54-Event Viewer.jpg
then this for a split second:
2023-08-06 17_54_11-Event Viewer.jpg
Then everything disappears and I have nothing but an event log.

Tried on 25.1.0.472 & 25.3.0.584.

Hi
I assume you are using Video Studio 2022, MCCL is version 2.1.0.44
It’s a bit unusual that your image does not show the screen resolution when Full Screen is selected, other details are also missing.
Your previous post https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?p=387386#p387386 gave a fix, have you tried installing MultiCam_Capture_1.2.7.649.exe that Corel Support provided.
I do note that that may be an earlier version MultiCamCapture and not MultiCamCapture 2.0 Lite
You may still have version 1.2.7.649 installed?
Installing Video Studio will overwrite the current MCCL 2.0 version so VS 2023 will use MCCL 2.1.0.165, at least that’s what I see.

Do you think this issue may be related to having more than one monitor?

You are right, I think it is too because in the past (previous iterations over the past decade) I could fix it by disabling the third monitor. I'm not just trying to get a workaround for me personally, I can use other video-capturing software zero-problem, I am posting this for the benefit of others, and to make the programmers fix this. Multiple monitors is the default calling card of video editing, and 4K is the standard today and three monitors is not uncommon in any way/shape/form.
