Hi Colleen
I have tried again to replicate the problem, each time I start a new project all works ok
Trying to modify your project, remove the crop or mask and I get some strange effects.
I just cannot fix your VSP.

I then created a project using X9, the oldest version I have installed.
At first that worked ok, after a few test projects it started acting up.
I am convinced there is some conflict with older X9 projects and 2023.
I have created a project and saved as a Smart Package for you to view.
The rendered M2T video is on the top track.
All I can suggest is to replace the Images with the video, you may need to create another video at the correct length.

Thank you. I can get it to work if I start my project with X7 and then open in 2023. I can't start with 2023 though. Anyway I was able to make the 4 picture video and cut and paste into my original just fine. I just hate that I have to use this work around. When building a project in 2023 I need to be prepared to revert back to X7 for various failures. Just sucks.

Intrigued, I last saw this kind of interlacing problem happen years ago, cannot reproduce the issue in 2023. So this happens when you create a new project, or only when you import from X7?

The disturbance happens when I start in 2023. I got it to work by starting in X7 and finishing in 2023. Since then I've tried a few more times from scratch in 2023 and I'd say 1 out of 4 times in worked. I don't know why.

I would try a different computer before throwing it all in, I assume you uninstalled 2023 and cleaned out and installed again? From here it's looking like a codec problem, but I mostly wonder if it's the blue-ray project profile defaults that is the cause? Really sux when you are trying to make a videodisk to have to struggle.

zaphodikus

I have tried to rectify the VSP sample provided by Colleen but each time fails.
I can create a new project from scratch with no problems creating the effect.
Its a portrait image that has Customise Motion effect to increase size / a little zoom.
Then the background is using same image, distorted and blurred to fill the borders.

Nothing difficult there

The original VSP was created by VS X7 and that i believe there is a problem of compatibility / conflict.
to add some crop and mask has been added in error as these are not required, easily removed.

The only option i can think is to create a new vsp using 2023, render to video, replace images in main vsp with video.
