I like to try make interesting title effects, but A couple of weird things happen in the title editor. A title with 2 different text sizes is sometimes desired.
1. If you select some text and start to type in a font size, but press TAB or move away from the font size control, it often just deletes the selected text? There is no undo?
2. if I want to change the text size from 40 point to 400 point, the drop-list shows increments on 1. NOBODY else does font size increments in 1's in a WYSISYG, so this font size picker is un-expectected.
Has the title editor always been a bit cumbersome? I tried using NewblueTitler, but it crashes so randomly that it's not an alternative titler to the built in one. Are there other ways to fancy up my titles?

Re: Editing text titles with font sizes
I find VS titler much better then other NLE's.
You do have undo's , but only from menu. not CTRL-Z
you can type the size in the 'box'.
Styles are more complicated, but I did managed to do different size/color/...
then I export as transparent png to VP.

Re: Editing text titles with font sizes
1 / Yes there is an anomaly using the Tab, I do not think the Tab key is set up to navigate between the editors options, don't use Tab, it adds spaces to the text box when cursor is in font size box, oddzaphodikus wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 8:01 am I like to try make interesting title effects, but A couple of weird things happen in the title editor. 2 / Yes the list is long, we can highlight the font size and overtype the setting, no need to use the drop down arrow.
for me, from 40, the drop down list starts at 40
We can also resize the text box on screen, that changes the font size, maybe the reason for having single increments.

Re: Editing text titles with font sizes
All because I have found that getting 2 titles to move together and not wiggle very time consuming.
Good to know it's not only me going a bit mad for a change
@Trevor, I like to use the drag handles to help set font size, yes, that does also explain why pressing TAB was so weird and wrong way. Since I'm after 2 lines and different sizes in one title, so dragging messes up. But definitely works fine if you type in a number and tap enter.
Aaah @asik1 so "undo from the menu", that does help and removes the frustration that prompted me to question my patience. I like the new quick motion or animations and styles, it's actually possible to get a professional look quite a lot faster in VS 2023 than in the last version I had, .

Re: Editing text titles with font sizes
Okay, so both the Title Effect and the Mask Creator Text mask have the same bug with space characters being completely incorrect widths - this is not really all that funny now.
Found more weirdness so I have raised a support Ticket yet again.
