flying dust or bugs effect

Post by zaphodikus »

Anyone know a place to find a free overlay effect that gives a outdoorsy nightime lit up affect to the air near the lense? A bit like flying sparks/insects?

Just a random question, but keen to know if any hints, as long as not breaking any rules, as to how to get a bit of that kind of effect. I once filmed bugs near flood-light at night, but the footage was not half as usable as I had hoped, not even close to usable as an overlay.

Got lost in that , wow, just wow. Is there a tutorial? It's immense, you just need a way to stop yourself browsing the entire box of presets!
I used to have a Free Boris plugin or two that came with an older version, I forgot about Boris entirely as too expendive, they have freebies! I just never installed the old VS versions onto my new PC, to get those old plugins, it was just too much work, so never thought to look. I was about to start using Blender, which is a load of learning as you can imagine. Well, that solves and answers the question.
Thanks Trevor
