I'm used to using PSP 2023 on my desktop with a big screen; I just installed it on a laptop as well.
When I'm using PSP on my desktop, the image has the same size on screen as in Chrome browser. So, I am able to check the sharpness and colors how it will look online when I edit it in PSP.
Currently, the image width on screen on the laptop in Chrome is 13.7 cm. The same image (100% size) in PSP on the laptop is only 9.2 cm, too small for me to check the final result before uploading it to the server.
I also don't want to change the resolusion for the laptop, because that will affect all other software, and I don't want that.
Is there a setting in PSP that enlarges the work area with 200%? I don't mean zoom because the image won't have the same sharpness as the image online.
Larger image size on screen in Edit Mode

Re: Larger image size on screen in Edit Mode
Perhaps it is in your display setting of Windows (scaling)...

Re: Larger image size on screen in Edit Mode
What is the physical size of your screen? And what is your screen resolution? Also what is the size of your image?
The problem that you're running into is that pixels (as a unit of measure) are not a fixed physical size. If your image at 100% is showing 1 pixel in the image for 1 pixel on your screen that doesn't mean it'll match any one specific physical size (in/cm). And will be different for every screen. You want a way to force PSP to show pixels a the same physical resolution as your desktop monitor without zooming and without changing how many pixels are spread over a physical space for the entire computer. I don't believe that's possible. Even Windows scaling or resizing the image is a form of zooming. Zooming in just makes the pixels of the image use more physical pixels in the screen. Depending on the amount the sharpness should not be greatly affected as zooming in produces fewer artifacts than zooming out.

Re: Larger image size on screen in Edit Mode
Thanks for the replies, guys. Sorry not to reply earlier, but I didn't get a notification…
These are the specs
Current Resolution 1707x960 pixels
Work Resolution 1707x912 pixels
State Enabled, Primary
Monitor Width 2560
Monitor Height 1440
Monitor BPP 32 bits per pixel
Monitor Frequency 240 Hz
I believe it's hard to solve. The thing is that on a desktop with resolution 1920 x 1280 it's all good. The laptop Windows setting has 2560 x 1440 screen resolution, and I think that's causing the problem. Changing the resolution on the laptop to 1920 doesn't help either because only the sharpness changes.
Scaling works best, but everything on the laptop becomes quite large. It would be nice if the scaling would only happen in PSP
For now, I'll try things out at Scaling 175% and see if that's workable. Maybe I'll do the editing at 175% and change it back to 100% afterward. Browsing at 175% is not great...
