HTML Issue

Something very strange has just started to happen. When I go to type in an HTML color, the numbers/letters won't work at all or are entered backwards. This happened in both 2019 & 2022. I closed the program and re-opened, but it wasn't fixed. I also re-booted the computer.

Any ideas? I can't use either program now.

Have you tried resetting PSP? To do so, close PSP. Then hold down the Shift key and click on the desktop PSP icon to open it. You should receive a message asking if you want to reset the program. Make sure you first save any customized workspaces; otherwise they will be lost in the reset.

Yup, did that and also shut down the computer completely. The reset to default under preferences didn't work, either. When I press the o, I get # in the html. And most of the letters do not work.

I just tried using PSP2022 with the current and the classic Materials Palette and had no issue. Are you able to type normally in other areas or is the issue limited to the HTML section of the Materials Palette?

It's only the Materials Palette.The dropper works fine. I thought it might be my keyboard, but all is well with that.

I even set the program back to default with the Shift option. It is happening in both my programs. I'm totally flummoxed.

Update:
I opened psp2018 and it has the same problem. There's a glitch somewhere.

The problem is only with the html box in PSP, the rest of the time the keyboard works perfectly.

Try to create the HTML values in NotePad, for example, and copy/paste them into PSP. See if the issue is still there.

I found a great little program that does color picking. I copy and paste and it works great.
