PSP Plugins 2022

Post by Leslie »

I cannot get my plugins to show up in psp 2022. I add the correct locations, open and close psp, but the plugins do not show up in the program.

Can someone help, please?

Thank you,
Leslie

Perhaps to state the obvious, if the plugins are 32 bit, they will only show up in the 32 bit version of PSP, and not the 64 bit version. 64 bit plugins will of course show up in the 64 bit version of PSP. Can we assume you installed both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of PSP?

And, have you pointed to the folder with your plug-ins via File Locations?
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Although you have both 32 and 64bit versions installed, you haven't said whether you are trying to open the plugins with the 32bit version rather than the 64bit version??

I use the 32 bit version. All my plugins work fine in psp 2019. I took some of the file locations out in 2022, and the plugins were still showing up. Isn't that strange? I thought they would be out of the effects list. I just don't understand why they are still showing up. I want to import to Filters Unlimited instead of having lists and lists of plugins In the drop down one for effects. So I want to start over with adding plugins.

Thanks,
Leslie

I'm assuming you restarted PSP after removing the plugins from the file locations.

As I'm not on your computer and can't look through things I have to assume that, if PSP restarted or re-cataloged all plugins in the folders and they're still showing up (since it loads them on startup or on refresh) that similar plugins are still being referenced in other folders or locations. I don't believe PSP caches and loads a database of plugins.

I re-started psp, but that didn't help. Then I re-booted the computer and that cleared the list.
Thanks for your help.
