VideoStudio not working

Post by RudyV »

I click on Video Studio and a screen comes up. It looks like it is trying to load. Then it goes away and nothing happens.
I tried to re load program now I have no icons on my load page and can't try to start anything. How to get Video Studio back?
I can't get anything to work. I would like to reload it but I can't get anything to work?????

Hi
And welcome to the forums

Which version of Video Studio are you using, and what version of PSP?

There is a problem launching VS 2023 when PSP. 2023 is running

If you are using 2023, close PSP.
Access task manager and end task for Video Studio
Then try running VS

Apologies I misunderstood your missing desktop icons

Unusual that they should disappear, we would normally have to delete those icons, or uninstall the program.

You should be able to run the program from the Start Menu - Corel Video Studio 2023 (can you confirm you are running VS 2023)
Does that option exist?

Did you by chance run the VS installation file again when you first had a problem opening VS? I ask since if you do run it, it will ask if you want to modify/repair or completely remove the program. I think 'remove' is the option used if you don't change it. And running the installation will in fact remove the program (though leave things like My DVD (which is what I think you have). It will also remove the desktop icon to start VS. But if that was the case, then if you run that same installation file again, this time it should reinstall VS 2023.
