How to Pan Overlay Clip Audio to Left or Right (X10)

Post by CrunchyFr0g »

Hi

The subject probably explains the issue.
I've been trying to do it using Surround Sound, but I have 2 problems:

1. If I click play in the surround sound window, I don't have time to drag the ball to right or left before the audio starts to play
2. If I do drag the ball, the sounds starts off where I placed it in the stereo spectrum, but gradually, over the duration of the clip, moves back towards the centre of the stereo spectrum.

There must be a better way to do it :)

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Hi CrunchyFr0g
And welcome to the forums

You are best to be in Project Playback when setting the Sound Mixer
Select your clip and navigate to the start, switch to project ( select the word Project adjacent to the play button)
Now set (drag the ball) to the left.
Navigate to end of Clip, again switch to project, Drag the ball right
Now play the effect in project not clip.
Watch the volume levels change from R to L

and yes I find it awkward to do.....
