How to use perspective tool on a circular object

Post by jparnold »

I have an image of a covered walkway which was taken at the end and slightly to one side and would like to create an image of the sign on the end of the roof adjusted so that the perspective is correct but don't know where to place the perspective 'markers' (I have no problem with regular rectangular shapes).

Try with Adjust/Barrel Distortion Correction.

Thanks Jean.
I had some satisfaction using barrel distortion correction.
Then I went back to experimenting with perspective correction tool and assuming that the lines above and below the words 'Welcome to Nanaimo' were the same length and directly in line with each other on the real sign (forming the top and bottom of a rectangle with 90 degree angles) I applied the perspective correction tool and placed at the ends of each line. That gave me a good result.
