Chapter Points

Post by Weeination »

What is the purpose of having chapter points in the timeline View?

If you have chapter points placed in the project, then render an MPEG-4 video file, would you be able to advance a video by chapters if you play the file with a program that has a chapter advance feature?

No.....

Chapter Points are associated in burning DVD or Bluray menus.
If you add chapter points to the timeline then do Share Disc DVD we can retrieve the points to use within our menu.
From the main timeline It is also possible to name the Chapter points via Settings chapter points Manager, these names will also be available when creating the DVD menu, except for the first chapter point that will need re-naming.
In addition, if we render our project to Mpeg2, ( assuming we wish to burn a DVD ) then those points will be embedded within the Mpeg2 again allowing us to retrieve when burning a disc.
Depending on the Video Studio version the names may need renaming, later versions of VS did retain these names.
