En Dash

I don't suppose VideoStudio X8 has an option to type an en dash between dates.

For example, for 2022-2023 the en dash would be longer than a hypen as shown.

On Windows you can hold down Alt and type 0150 to give you an en dash.

Even this board doesn't allow you to type an en dash.

The hyphen doesn't seem long enough. If there is no option for an en dash, perhaps I should put spaces before and after the hyphen like this.

Windows Accessories > System Tools > Character Map
Find/select the Font to use, scroll down to the En Dash, click on it, click the Select button then click the Copy button.
In VideoStudio, at your text entry insertion point press Ctrl-V to paste the character.

I agree that the simple hyphen often never seems long enough. gewb's suggestion will certainly work but is also somewhat lengthy in terms of the time it takes. I usually satisfy my impatience by simply typing two hyphens instead of one -- like this! It may look a bit untidy, but at least it's quick...

Using Word to compose your message, between 2020 2023 type 2 hyphens will result in
2020—2023 , I believe its to do with Words auto correct.

Many times I used different fonts or sizes just to get "non letters" fit well in VS text. Specially in Hebrew where things not always looks nice.
