Been running PSP2023 successfully for months, but today on starting up PSP I'm presented with a "sign in" window I've never seen before:
I clicked "already have an account", and entered my username and password After about 10 seconds it returned an "invalid email or password" message. I tried the "forgot password" route, set a new password, tried again and got the same result. Strangely, I'm able to bypass the login by simply "x-ing out" the window, and the program behaves normally. But I get the pop-up window with every new image I open. Painful.
I have the same problem with VideoStudio 2022.
Is this an issue on Alludo's end, or did perhaps a Windows 11 update screw things up on my end and I should reinstall the programs?

Perhaps a related problem to the above - when I go to "Account Setting" under Help
It launches a window to sign in, which spins for about 20 seconds and then causes the application to crash.

Re: Encountering new "sign in" on starting PSP
Welcome to the forum.
That screen is only the normal registration screen, though I cannot explain why it has come so late (unless you have recently reinstalled PSP or you have seen this screen from time to time before now). It has nothing to do with Win 11...
However, when you say you entered your username and password, I suspect you may have used your username/password that you use to get onto this forum. That registration form is different and wants you to either establish a new account with Alludo/Corel on www.corel.com or, if you already have an account there, to use the the email address and password you used to establish that account by inserting them in this screen.
By the sounds of it, I suspect you haven't established a separate account there, so your PSP is probably not registered, though completely legal. So if you want, you should go to corel.com and establish an account (see https://idp.corel.com/idp/Authn/UserPassword ), then when you next get this screen in PSP 2023 and 2022, enter those new details to get the programs registered.
Or if you don't want to do this, then simply do as you have already done, X it out and you should have no trouble using PSP -- though as you have found you will get a repeat of this screen until you *do* register...

Re: Encountering new "sign in" on starting PSP
You posted again while I was writing the above. But that new screenshot and error message at least bears out what I have already said about there being two different types of account: one is to get into this forum and the other to register products with Alludo/Corel. They are different things. Instead of using that PSP menu item "Account settings, use that link I provided which should bring up the same screen but without the error message: https://idp.corel.com/idp/Authn/UserPassword

Re: Encountering new "sign in" on starting PSP
HI Ken, thanks for the quick repl(ies).
I was definitely using my Corel login (not my Alludo forum login), and I've previously registered both PSP and VS. I was able to get a "reset password", though it didn't seem to make any difference.
When I go to the https://idp.corel.com/idp/Authn/UserPassword link you provided and try log in, I get another error message: I don't have cookies blocked for the site, so {shrug}
I separately went to https://www.corel.com/corel/account/registerProduct.jsp , tried to log in, and got a completely blank screen (wasn't able to see my registered products or register new products).
I'll try everything again tomorrow, in case there's a system down at Corel or something.
Thanks again

Re: Encountering new "sign in" on starting PSP
You are not alone. I too have experienced this issue today and have reported it to Alludo/Corel as I believe it is on their end. I'm on Windows 10 so it's not limited to Windows 11.
If you close out of the sign-in dialog box PSP will launch.

Hi Kathy, thanks for the input and for reporting the issue! Fingers crossed it's a simple fix on their end.

Re: Encountering new "sign in" on starting PSP
The funny things is that I have no trouble with that link I provided. I get the corel.com website and press the sign-in button, fill in my Corel username and password, and it all opens. I then press on Registered Products, and that too opens. But I did have a presentiment that things might not be totally correct when I clicked on Account Settings within PSP, as Coastal Canuck also did, and got a completely blank message block, which also seemed to freeze PSP. I then had to use Task Manager to force PSP to close.

Re: Encountering new "sign in" on starting PSP
*Update*
I launched PSP today, and got the same login window. I was able to put in my email and password, and it quickly "authenticated" PSP with my account. (The final authentication window froze, however) . I closed PSP, and relaunched it - without getting the login window. So it all seems good now.
I had to do the same with VideoStudio 2022, with the same result.
