Paintshop pro icons
I have a new windows ten pc and when I open my paintshop pro X2019 some of the images are showing as a PREF file, I have never had this before , any idea what it is

If you're talking about the icons on Windows File Explorer, that's based on how they're identified in Windows not PSP. You can either use Default Apps from the control panel/settings on Windows. Or you can right-click an image in File Explorer, Open With -> "Choose Program". Select PSP and make sure "Always open with this program" checkbox is selected.
