2018 and 2023 Folder Question

Post by Linda Lou »

I've been enjoying PSP 2023. Of course, I have it set to access my 2018 version folders. If I remove the 2018 64-bit PSP will my assets be gone? If so should I copy all of those to the 2023 folders? I recall doing that with my really old JASC versions when I installed 2018 but I'm wondering if a copy of my 2018 folders remains in Documents.

You should copy your assets to either the 2023 folders or to a folder of your choosing for safekeeping. Also, if you have room on your system, there is no need to remove 2018, especially if you want a 32-bit version for using older plug-ins.

OK thanks. I do have backups but was hoping not to have to work so hard and would like to create a bit more room on my computer.

EDIT: My apologies it seems the "Importing content from the previous version" is only for the last three versions of PSP. So for 2023 that would be 2022,2021, and 2020.

No worries. I did it all manually from backups I had saved over the years.
