Borders in overlays in VS2023

Post by cybernick »

I really do not understand why when I set borders in the overlay in VS2023 there is "chop" in the upper right corner.
I really do not understand, we started having bugs in the simplest features.

If you're using the Picture-In-Picture filter to create the border then a similar issue has been around since at least VS2018 (see image).

Adjusting the Shadow Blur will get rid of the "chop".

Actually asik1, it's not new, as it's been around since at least X8. The only new thing is that someone raised it on this forum.

OK, used your file in VS2018, as you can see, there are no cropped corners using PiP, or maybe I am trying PiP different to you

No idea why you decided to modify the VSP (see image showing the original project and your changes), and then make a bogus claim. However, it was noted that you couldn't open the ZIP file, so that may explain it.

Some of your meddling includes:
  1. use of the "Replace last filter option"
  2. changing the background image
  3. removing the text
erase.jpg
FWIW, your attitude and actions do make one reluctant to engage on this forum. Hence, I'll no longer engage with you. That being said, the VSP was created for asik1, who has not yet responded.

That corner came from the NB PIP's shadow,
As your size is just 98.5, the shadow has no room to do it's thing...
If you 0 it's offset, that corner will be corrected.

I do not consider this as a solution. That would affect my workflow negatively. So I simply want to have a simple overlay feature available.

There is a simple proper feature for it, it calls custom motion.
