Hi rossmany

The menu’s and chapters used on a dvd are made within the Share--Create Disc section.

After you have fully completed the editing, your project should be made into a single file.
Share Create Video File.
The resulting file being used to burn a dvd.
Share Create Disc—Add Video (using the file made above.)
At this point menu’s and chapters can be made.

If you haven’t already done so read the Recommended procedure from the top posting.

Also press F1 for VS help look for, Share Step. Well worth a read.

thank you trevor,
i saved my project as a single file. i've entered the share/create a dvd, bur i want to devide the complete project file to chapters (each scene=chapter) on the dvd menu.
so i added the chapters on vs menu, but the final product is not devided to chapters. if i press ff no the dvd player it jumps to the end of the movie, not to the next chapter!

Hi
For each video you add you get a menu, one thumbnail for each file.

Each of these menus can have chapters applied,
You have the one file therefore one menu.

After adding video press Add / Edit Chapters
From the next window add your chapter points.
Either
Select auto
Play the video press Add
Use the time duration clock to set a time position, press add.
The chapter thumbnails are added to the right panel
When finished press OK

Now press Next
At the top of this window is a drop down box displaying the current menu, change this to view the chapters you created, these are displayed as thumbnails in the same way as the main menu.
You can customize this menu to show more or less thumbnails ( press customize—lower left)

When complete press Next

Now use this player to check your settings. Is this what you want?

Next
This is the burner window, select the cogwheel lower left for Navigation Controls
you should need –continue to play next clip.

Hope this Helps
