[X7] resize layers?

Post by DutchArjo »

I have a layer in my image which I need to resize but I cannot find how I should be able to do so. I found a Corel help page which doesn't provide the solution (https://kb.corel.com/en/127174#:~:text= ... r%20layers.)

This is my situation:

I cannot resize it to fit in the image. In Photoshop which I have used before, it was easy: just Ctrl + T (free transform) and I could resize whatever I wanted. But in PSP it's apparently quite hard.

How can I resize only this layer?

Pick tool (K key), grab corner, drag to resize.

what's with the selection? When there's a selection, clicking with the pick tool will first promote the selected area to it's own layer. Then the next time you click you can perform the resize.

thanks. The selection is a cutout of an image I pasted into a new layer. It's obivously way too large so I want to resize it. I could not find how to do it and the Corel support didn't want (or wasn't allowed) to answer my question. I then installed Gimp and got what I wanted but still would like to be able to do this in PSP.

will try the suggested method.
