how to draw a straight line at 45 degrees in an image

I'd like to draw a straight line at an angle of 45 degrees in an corner of an image so that I can colour the resulting box in Paint Shop Pro. Offhand it gets a bit sloppy.

Is this possible with Paint Shop?

This can be done probably in multiple ways (two shown below):

- With paintbrush tool. Click at your starting point of the line. Hold the shift key while clicking at the endpoint of your line. This will draw a straight line between the two points. You will have to ballpark the angle to 45 degrees.

- With the Pen Tool. Draw a line while holding the shift key. This will draw an exact straight line (vector). Objects>Transform Selected Nodes>Rotate <--- make sure your rotate angle is set at 45 degrees.

- With the Pen Tool. Draw a line while holding the shift key.

If you maintain the shift key down and move the end of the line, the line will jump to 45° without the need to rotate it later.
