Video Studio Ultimate 2023 "Out of memory" error when saving

FWIW that vsp file from Trevor opens fine in my VS2023, though of course indicating relinks are necessary. However, it just won't open in VS2022. I don't get any error message, just nothing happens. I've tried several times. VS2022 also doesn't crash but remains fully operable otherwise.

I get exactly the same thing with mgmax666's vsp: opens fine in VS2023; nothing happens in VS2022.

As you will see in my computer details, I have AMD CPU and GPU and 32GB of RAM.

Are those mts's from a Panasonic camcorder?
I don't have issues with mine on one hand but I didn't have 2 hours project on the other.
Tomorrow I suppose to shoot a 90 min thing, so I'll try to edit it in VS2023 and see.

They are from a Sony a57. I was using VS2021 until 2 days ago and all was well, except some glitches that I knew how to bypass. VS2023 is having a number of extra issues that make it nearly unusable.

I have converted the MTS files to MP4s and have been working with them for the past couple of hours and this issue has not yet cropped up.

Thus, we are looking forward to having your assistance. Once you can reproduce the issue on your machine, please try to create "Smart Package" and share it with us if you don't mind. I was testing this morning and for the benefit of others I did find some unusual behaviour relating to timeline zoom.

Changing the timeline view, render was ok and did not stall.
File save – ok, followed by file Save As changing the name caused the Out of Memory
Difficult to replicate, but doing File Save followed by File Save As again caused the error sometimes…..

Then expanding the timeline in thumbnail view followed by save caused the error……….
Playing around with this option of changing the timeline view and File Save As I was able to replicate more often than earlier tests.

Hello Joseph! Recently I have a friend who ordered VideoStudio 2023 v26.0.0.136. When he saves the project after some editing, the "out of memory" problem just occurs. The problem won't occur when you just opened the project.

I copied his project file but it is too big (10 GB+) and I can't find a cloud storage service available in both China & Global allows me to upload such a big file. So please PM me and provide a way to send you the project file. Thanks!

Well, I got "out of memory" today on new 80min project.
very few clips, and I have many other very strange sound issues while I was working only on the opening title.
So I started new project and I'll put on TL only clips I need for that moment and I'll see.

YES, exactly.
VXF1 2Ch stereo mts's and in the mixer sometime only one is heard ... or the main track is faded out..

I believe these issues are caused by the same bug. I got a response from Corel support that said to uninstall and reinstall in safe mode, which sounds to me like canned BS advice, but I will do it anyway and hopefully I will be proven wrong...

I have the same issue with MTS files from Sony Camcorder. Also I have the same issue with m2t files created by VS2023.

My workaround for now is to use ffmpeg to convert everything to MPEGs. You can also use HandBrake to do that.
