Ulead Cool 3D production Studio 1.0 (please take a look)

Post by mcky28 »

I was wondering if someone might know why I am receiving the following Message when I start the program up.

Failed to create the Direct 3D Component (BuildD 3Device(failed to create D 3D device) No Erroe)

Then when it finally starts up I get this message.

CU3d edit view: on Activate view.

Please help if possible.

Your display card driver is not DirectX 8 compatible, or your display card driver or DirectX version is not installed correctly.

Please check the system request of Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio in http://www.ulead.com/c3ds/sysreq.htm

nVidia Riva TNT2 M64 can be used with COOL 3D Production Studio, but you will need to go to nVidia to download the latest driver. The original driver in Windows XP is not compatible with DirectX 8.

nVidia - Download - Display driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Hope this helps.

that driver didn´t work
i get the 71.89 version of nvivia dribers (it seems to be the last that support RIVA TNT 2 MODEL 64 PRO) but it doesn´t support this GPU
The 71.84 does, but the problem persist.
I modify the 71.89 inf`s and it work, but the problem persists.

i cannot start CPS because the directx error still there and the preview window don´t show anything.

Please somebody help.

thanks a lot

Hi,

To make COOL 3D Production Studio work properly, you need to check the followings:

1. Your display card supports DirectX 8 or later.
2. The display card driver supports both your display card and DirectX 8.
3. You have DirectX 8 or later installed.

Microsoft DirectX Download:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

The latest driver in nVidia website now only supports Geforce 2 or later, for more info, check http://www.nvidia.com/object/81.98_winx ... orted.html

C3DPS is been tested with nVidia driver v56.72, which you can get from http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_archive.html . Maybe you can give it a try.

Or you can contact Ulead Tech Support for helps.

However, I think you can find a far more better display card in a very affortable price, but it's your choose.

I use C3DPS with nVidia TNT2 (office PC, driver v71.89), nVidia Geforce 2 MX (home PC1, driver 77.56), ATi Radeon 9550 (home PC2), Intel 915g (notebook) and no problems.

Hope this helps.
