Whenever I attempt to disable anti aliasing upon loading a pdf, the program requests a password for the pdf file which does not have a password. I've tried creating a pdf myself and it did not change the fact that a password is requested. I am using Corel Paintshop Pro 2022. Is there a work around to this "bug?"
Additional info: Ideally I would like to load the pdf with a resolution of 131 and in greyscale with anti aliasing off. Then what I need to do is crop the image and use the negative image feature. When I'm finished editing the image I need to save it as a pcx file and put it on a floppy. Currently the program I'm using the floppy with does not accept the anti aliasing and causes the image to blink, displaying the "fix" that the anti aliasing option added.

Re: Workaround for disabling anti aliasing
That's honestly a bit weird. Anti-aliasing isn't a value, it's just how the pixels are rendered. So how would anti-aliasing cause the issue? Does the program not allow grey values? Or is it the transparency produced by importing the PDF? I believe PCX version 5 supports an alpha-channel.
If it's the transparency, you can flatten the image to get rid of the transparency. Layers -> Merge -> Merge All (Flatten).
If it's the grey pixels and it can only be black or white, you can use Threshold to make it a truly black and white image.
In both cases, you'd import the PDF with anti-aliasing and then correct the issue after the fact in PSP. Only other workaround I can think of, use another program like GIMP or ImageMagick to create a PNG from the PDF and then import into into PSP to export as PCX. Assuming GIMP can't export to PCX directly.
