Hello Trevor,
Well, not surprisingly, Corel Tech Support has, not surprisingly, fallen flat. I sent a few questions to Tech Support over 24 hours ago and I'm still waiting for a response.
By biggest concern is they sent two *.zip files.
VideoStudio2023.zip (I received the link to this file on Saturday @ 10:30pm)
VideoStudio+2023+Ultimate.zip (I received the link to this file on Sunday @ 1:10pm, 15 hours later) This file had no instructions. I have no idea what to do with it.
Note: the first file i downloaded on Saturday, VideoStudio2023.zip, has an executable file (see attached) and the other zip file does not.
So, is it safe to assume the second zip file is the "extras" that come with Ultimate and the first file is the Base Install? If so, how do I access the files on the second "Ultimate" zip file?
Also, will I use the same serial number i was given with the purchase 4 days ago?
Lastly, is it necessary to uninstall the previous version before installing VS2023? I see there is a "cleanup" utility Ken Berry has posted. When do i use that utility?

Re: Install VS Ultimate on 2nd Computer
I believe the down issue may have been fixed,
Your best option may be to run the VideoStudio_Install.exe
Choose a new empty folder for the download files, the process may default to using a folder on your desktop, that would be ok.
Download and install the 2023 program.
You can then delete the zip files saved to your download folder.
As you have never installed VS2023 before there is no reason to use the clean-up tool
If you are still having problems I can do desktop assistance to help you install the program.

Hi Trevor,
YES! They fixed the problem and the software download and installed without issue. I then uninstalled the previous version: VS 2021.
I have noticed a few odd instances with 2023 that ill need to dig into. Hopefully they're something simple.
Thank you so much for your help and support. Hopefully, i wont need to return to this forum for quite a while.
Thanks again!

Re: Install VS Ultimate on 2nd Computer
In fact, if you were not pressed for space, you could have left VS 2021 installed as well as VS 2023. Each version is a full version, and will operate independently of any other version on the same computer. I think that is what Trevor/lata meant when he said there was no need to use the cleanup tool.
Who knows, but until you work out your "odd instances" with VS 2023, you might have found that VS 2021 provided a good workable if temporary substitute...?

Re: Install VS Ultimate on 2nd Computer
Hello Ken -- i always enjoy learning your input.
Actually, there were a couple fundamental functions that didn't work. For example, after the new install, and after uninstalling 2021, I went into my Explorer file system to the My Projects folder and double clicked a *.VSP file and rather than automatically opening VS 2023, I got an odd error message that, unfortunately, I did not record. Then, I opened the program itself and from the Home Tab, I clicked Open Project... and navigated to the location of my many *.VSP files, and there were none there, according to VS. So, i decided to fully reboot my Windows 10 PC to see if that would correct these issues, and it did. Now, everything seems to be good.
All that said, and maybe I missed a step, but I'm a bit disappointed that I lost all my Favorites. I had about a dozen or more Text Styles saved - many were customized. I also had about a dozen Transitions saved. Now i need to find them all again. I would think they would have been transferred with the installation. But apparently not.

Re: Install VS Ultimate on 2nd Computer
Had you retained VS 2021 and not uninstalled then you could have transferred the text / titles to 2023.
Mind you if you have used the titles or transitions in any of your projects then you have those, just open the project locate the clips and drag to the library to create a copy.
