Video studio 2023 ultimate The new add media to titles feature appears to cause a bug when exporting templates

If you add media to a title by clicking the title clip "+" and then attempt to merge and save as a template the graphic portion does not get saved.

Also, if you attempt to export a project as a "instant project template" if the project contains a title clip with media added to it, the graphic file will not be included in the export even though the procedure will appear to succeed. If you then attempt to use the created template, shortly after adding it to the timeline the program will crash.

The workaround for this crashing behaviour is to simply include the graphic on an additional overlay track.

If this does turn out to be a legitimate bug. Then I look forward to a patch sometime down the road. One thing to note I have a disability and so the video is rather long about 10 minutes. I have attempted to speed certain parts up.

Thank you Patrick for bringing this to our attention, as you say, the problem does seem to be that the graphic file used is not saved within the templates folder, as a workround if you copy the graphic from the hard drive and paste to the templates folder the effect will work, at least it did for me.
Or as your workround place the graphic on another track, that will then be exported to the templates folder.

I found that while moving the graphic into the template folder does work, the program becomes unstable on my system. So rather than have video studio pull a vanishing act at the absolute worst moment for now I will stick with the simpler work around I mentioned.

Although on days when I can't get enough coffee and need a little nervous energy I may do just as you suggested and live on the razor's edge for a bit .
