Your idea sounds amazing, love it and def support it, but sadly if no-one else supports your idea besides me; what are the chances this would be heard, seen or even noticed by the company? That's right, zero. Not to sound as a party pooper, but the fact CMD3 has been discontinued tells me none of this could ever be possible. So I def recommend you to start using blender, it's free or NewBlue Tittler, you'll love it and you can use it as a stand alone application.

Last year, in the topic "VideoStudio 2023 Wishlist", I posted about the imaginary plugin Element 3D.

I am following this idea and will not be disappointed.

Sorry, I am copying some of the contents of the previous topic and re-posting the same contents in this topic in the hope that this idea will be realized in VideoStudio 2024.

The imaginary plugin that is supposed to replace 3D Title Editor, I call it Element 3D.
This name is probably familiar to you and reminds you of Adobe After Effects software.

Of course, the idea I have for the Element 3D plugin of VideoStudio software is very different from the Element 3D plugin of After Effects software, which I will mention below:

1- Element 3D in VideoStudio has much less features and a much simpler user interface than Element 3D in After Effects.

2- Unlike Element 3D in After Effects, which is made by another company called Video Copilot, Element 3D in VideoStudio will be made by Alludo itself, or the former Corel Corporation.

In a way, the Element 3D I have in mind for VideoStudio is very similar to the Clipmaker section of the panzoid.com website.

Element 3D, which is in my mind, is not a complex and advanced plugin, and it won't harm the simplicity of VideoStudio.
This dream plugin, while simple, allows VideoStudio users to create stunning videos.


This plugin (Element 3D) has the following features:

1- Easy exploration in the 3D space inside the plugin

2- Direct access to 2D objects with rectangle and circle shapes as well as 3D objects with cube, sphere and cylinder shapes

3- Adding texture to objects

4- Good lighting

5- Creating shadows of objects

6- Curved 3D text

7- No limitation of camera movement

8- Choosing two modes for the camera (Parallel Projection and Perspective Projection)

9- Accurate rotation of the object, text, light and camera in a circular path

10- Creating accelerated movement

11- Creating particles

12- Adding the model from CorelCAD software to the plugin

13- Creating a group in the layers panel

14- Powerful rendering

This imaginary plugin (Element 3D) can be installed in Pinnacle Studio in addition to VideoStudio.

Some users may object that the Element 3D plugin is not a good idea and it is better to be build a separate software instead of this plugin.

If a new software is build with the features of the imaginary plugin of Element 3D, there is no problem in my opinion and I will greatly welcome the development of this software in the future.

Even Alludo can revive the old MotionStudio software and develop it to have all the features of the imaginary Element 3D plugin.

So the result is that my idea can be implemented in two ways:

1- Element 3D plugin that can be installed on VideoStudio and Pinnacle Studio softwares

2- New MotionStudio software

Please create a feature that will allow users to delete all transitions on a Video Track or Overlay track with one operation.

There is no way to do this efficiently in the current revision of the program and this would be a great workflow enhancement. Other NLE's have this feature and it is needed in CVS.

Please add the ability to change photo duration (with multiple photo selections) on the Overlay tracks just as you can change the photo duration on the Video Track.

Please create a feature that would give users the ability to create more than ONE Video Track.

This would eliminate the need to enhance the OVERLAY tracks with more flexibility and features that the Video Tracks currently have. Overlay tracks are limited IMO...

Why not eliminate the Overlay track all together and just have multiple Video Tracks with all of the excellent features that Video Tracks have??

zaphodikus, surely that feature is already available, when saving as a .vsp file, also save it to a different location, I save .vsp backups to a folder on D: drive

You failed to give an example of what you would recommend as an audio filter replacement. And while having all these wonderful features you present, that would drive up the cost of the product and increase the complexity of the product. It takes time (lots of programming time), talent, and money to achieve all these things. Can Corel make their money back if they invest in the necessary programmers to do this, in this highly competitive field? I don't think so.

I haven't visited the forum for a long time.
You broke your promise, we decided not to discuss this topic with each other anymore.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do video editing with VS 2023 for a long time due to a job change. Of course, it is possible that in the next few months I will need VS again in terms of job.

My goal was not to introduce a specific alternative to the current audio filters, I just suggested the addition of more powerful and better quality audio filters instead of the current audio filters.

Compared to the level of features that VS provides in the field of video editing, the audio editing section is weaker and the audio filters are of poor quality and inefficient.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I was a mediocre video editor. I do not have specialized knowledge like you in the field of video editing and I have no hesitation in saying this. You are my teacher and without a doubt your knowledge and experience will be very useful for the future of VS.

I apologize, friends, because I don't have enough information about this issue, but as far as I know, since the release of VS 2023 until now, which is in September, unfortunately, no update has been released; This is strange to me!
I remember that in previous years I used to download and install an update about 2 or 3 months after the initial release.
For example, last year after the initial release of VS 2022, three updates were released a few months apart.
I guess it happened since Alludo took over.
If it continues like this, VS may unfortunately not have a good future and I hope this will never happen.

Yes, you are right.

I just gave an idea and this idea can be implemented in two ways; Plugin or separate software.

I, for my part, would very much like MotionStudio to be revived.

In addition, I don't like the two software you mentioned at all.

Thrust me, I love MotionStudio3D too, and still use it today for 4k 3D animations such as cinematic tittles, but that's it; I know the applications upside down and all, but as of todays demands it lacs of a lot. Def outdated. I do wish it would be brought back, but the actions took over it says IT'S GONE FOREVER!. R.I.P. CMS3D.

an overlay on the Editor window to superimpose the rule of 3rds (or fifths actually while we are at it) pretty sure the top 2 competitors have such a feature. Thanks in advance.

Oh, and when do we geta bug fix for the missing pixels in top right of any overlay tracks without a custom motion attached to them?
