VideoStudio 2023 - Audio Cues

Post by remmyhi »

Hello All,
I was really excited for the new feature with Audio Cues.
Doing some projects with the need to have the music beat sync'ed to the changing video scenes.
So I bought the update, especially that 50EUR was not a high price (looking at other subscription based video editors).
I have been testing some few songs (different genres) for the Auto Audio Cues and results are simply bad.
Bez tytułu.jpg
What you see above is an example song with a clear beat markers in the waveform.
The Audio Cues are totally off.
By looking at this feature I see the extension of already existing one from VS2022(21?) - highlight reel - where the beat was also to be sync'ed
Audio Cues are producing the exactly same results - the markers are totally off the beat.
From my point of view - if you were counting on GoPro Quik like beat sync - forget it. It's not working like this

Remi

I have sent info regarding the poor scan to Alludo development team, and included this post in my message.
I can only advise that you report the issue to Alludo support at :-
https://www.videostudiopro.com/en/support/

The more it is reported the more likely it will get a fix.

I don't think you fully understand how audio Cues work, neither do I to be honest, but, this is what I think is supposed to happen,
In the timeline, place your videos and images, next select your music track and place in timeline, click the Audio Cues button to open the dropdown box, select Cues per Beat (no idea what that is) or alternatively select Cue interval, press OK
Cue markers are now placed on the music timeline, Now this is where (I think) the confusion is,
It is now necessary to change the length of the images to match the position of the cue markers

Not really sure how the Auto Audio Cues is supposed to work as, because if you are selecting the Cues per beat or cue interval, then the markers will have no relationship to the music, so custom positioning would seem to be the way to go

Lets just say that this Feature is still work in progress, so keep reporting your issues

Yes, right click an empty portion of the timeline containing images
Easy way is to drag any image to the right, this will create a gap in the timeline, right click that gap, otherwise navigate to the end of the timeline.

If after adding Audio Cues a message poped up indicating how many, then we would know how many images we would need.

Why on earth would accessing a feature be so difficult
Tried every which way but loose, just doesn't work does it
Got to the dropdown "Fit to Audio Cues" (noted that on the image above it is "Match Audio Cues")
Selected OK, after completion, VS froze, not able to do anything, some 5 mins later VS became usable again, but music and markers still do not match up
Major work still required by Alludo or they should provide a video tutorial of the feature actually working correctly

Hi Robert
Match audio cues works for me, no freezes r crashes
Its the Auto scan that for me is a problem, cues just do not seem to be in the correct place
I will test the cues again
