What's up with Corel Forum Search function
I'm trying to use the Search function on the VideoStudio forum, for example I type in "Mercalli" in the search box in the top right hand corner and then clicked the search icon and I only get 1 page of results. I would expect to get many pages (on Mercalli). Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

I'm surprised you didn't see a message to the effect of "Not enough words"! You need to put in some specific detail of what you are looking for in relation to Mercalli or any other search target.

Re: What's up with Corel Forum Search function
On page 100 there is a topic "Issue importing mp4 files" from 2016. I searched on "importing mp4". I only got 1 result and it wasn't that one I found from 2016.

Re: What's up with Corel Forum Search function
The search function for me has always been poor, however things seem to have changed
Just tried using the search feature, first i clicked the options icon to open the advanced search
The results only displayed 15 hits, max, for my searches. I searched for Fx Filter
One of the options was to “sort results by” descending / ascending resulted in a different list, all within 2022, then ascending found 15 in 2011.
Very confused with the search results
I am not on my pc at the moment, away from home for a week, I assume my tablet and pc would return the same search results.

Re: What's up with Corel Forum Search function
Hmmm... perhaps I should have tried out a search to see if anything was wrong, though I had done a search a couple of days ago, and everything seemed right then.
Anyway, first RickMen's search for -- he says -- Mercalli. However, the Search feature shows the last two searches, and says he was looking for Mercali i.e. with one "l" missing. The Search function can be definitely picky and I suspect it only returned one result because it could find only one misspelled Mercali.
Trevor and RickMen: I just did an advanced search for "problems with mp4 import". I got varied answers, but surprisingly, like you Trevor, there were only 15 of them going back to July last year. There should surely be a lot more than that. The search I did a couple of days ago returned the answer I was after on the first page of results. So I don't know if that single page was all that I was going to get...!
Before doing this current search I also looked at the Search function in our Admin section. I was specifically looking to see if there was any limit placed on the number of results, either per page or per search. I could find nothing of this kind, and probably like you, I can remember a time when some searches would give several pages of responses, and certainly not limited to 15. I could also find nothing on that search page which indicated there were any other pages which I could open and go back through.
So while I got more results than RickMen by both having more in my question (and spelling it correctly!), I would have to agree that something seems to have gone wrong. I'll look further into the Admin side to see if I can come up with anything.

Ken
I also had a look at the acp to see if there was a limit set for search hits but found nothing to change.
Did you try changing the option for decending to ascending, that gives 15 of the oldest hits

Re: What's up with Corel Forum Search function
No -- but to me the fact that it can give much older answers indicates that there are of course many other pages in between what it is showing on the 15 answer page and the real beginning or ending of what the Search has found.
