Thanks for the update, however your PM message does not contain any google links.
So far I am unable to replicate that.
I can trim upto 6 frames, timeline looks ok and render is ok, more than that and I have to analyse again.
Post up-dated
I found your zip file in an e-mail, I had expected that in my forums PM's
Ran the vsp and relinked to the Tod file, Analysed the clip
rendered to same as project and yes now needs another analyse

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
I ran more tests and was able to replicate the problem.
It seemed that when trimming the clip for a second time it did ask for the clip to be analysed which you would expect
With the timeline clip clear you would expect the render to be clear but not so.
Then further tests and things worked as expected, so results are unpredictable.
I can only suggest that applying Mercalli should be the last option.
I will do more tests but do not think I will manage to always cause this to happen, I can replicate this but not every time, and that’s a problem
If you need to trim again, first remove Mercalli, trim the clip then apply Mercalli again.

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
'Unpredictable' is the key aspect here. In my current project I have used Mercalli on various clips, some trimmed clips render fine while other trimmed clips generate the message post render. I can't find a consistent pattern. I never had this type of issue with Mercalli in VS2018.
During the editing process VS has crashed multiple times (as it normally does) and I save the project regularly (generally a 'Save' per edit), upon re-opening VS I have 'Recovered' the VSP file then 'Save As' then continue on my editing way, I'm just wondering if the crashing has corrupted aspects of the VSP file with regard to Mercalli?
Is this a bug that Corel and/or Mercalli should address re new hotfix?

In general I do, but almost all my footage is shot hand held and Mercalli Pro is a godsend. Mercalli in VS2018 worked fine all the time.I can only suggest that applying Mercalli should be the last option.
I'll give this suggestion a try.If you need to trim again, first remove Mercalli, trim the clip then apply Mercalli again.

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
I believe I have narrowed down the issue (bug). When the clip with the Mercalli FX has no start trim marker (ie the clip starts from it's actual beginning 0.00 sec) then Mercalli has no issue, it renders fine, however, when the clip with the Mercalli FX DOES have a start trim marker (ie a section of the beginning of the clip is trimmed off) then Mercalli has an issue and generates the warning message. I have managed to constantly replicate this issue on a number of suspect clips. I have also gone back to my project and checked the clips with Mercalli FX that didn't have an issue and sure enough all those clips did not have a start trim marker. I have also tried to 'Cut' the clip to get the start position I'm after (using the scissors) (instead of trimming it) but Mercalli does not like that either. I have also tried to trim the clip in the Panel before inserting the trimmed clip into the timeline but that didn't work either.
This appears to be a bug. Can we get a hotfix for it? (please)

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
Hi Rick
Thanks for the additional details, I was almost with you, I assumed a second trim was needed
So yes I can confirm this and can now replicate to order.
It does appear to affect only MTS type video
Yes I have reported this problem to Alludo Video Studio development team
The problem also affects all versions of Video Studio as it does appear to be a Mercalli Pro issue rather than the program.
In the meantime
If you need to use Mercalli after trimming the beginning render the clip to create a separate file.
File - Save Trimmed Video will do that, the file saved to the working folder with the thumbnail placed in the library
Simply replace the clip on the timeline with the new version.

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
Just my luck. I haven't tried it yet on my 4k mp4 clips, will do it later. It does appear to affect only MTS type video

What are the chances of a hotfix?
btw- I don't recall VS2018 having this issue with MTS type video. I never encountered this issue while editing with VS2018 and surely I must have done a start trimmed clips there too.
Got it. That's going to be allot of fixing If I do that cause most of my video clips are from hand held positions. In the meantime

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
I overlooked/misunderstood this the first time....Where do I find these feature? I can't locate it in VS2022?File - Save Trimmed Video will do that
Edit - I Found it. Never noticed it before.
Edit 2 - Will investigate, but still extra steps to achieve desired outcome. I guess I have a few work-arounds now to choose from.

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
Can you please clarify. What was your the sequence of steps? Did you:-
1) Save Trimmed Video THEN apply Mercalli; that didn't work OR
2) apply Mercalli THEN Save Trimmed Video; that didn't work OR
3)Both

Re: Rendered Clip - MERCALLI Warning Message
If you do require to trim the beginning of a clip and add Mercalli then the render is going to show the Mercalli banner and that messes up the final production.
If you apply Mercalli where the first frames have not been removed then Mercalli is ok
After you have trimmed the first frames, go to:-
1 / File Save Trimmed Video
2 / this will render / create a new video file saving it to the Working folder and placing a thumbnail / clip in the library.
3 / Drag this new clip over the clip on the timeline, whilst pressing CTRL key drop the clip to replace.
4 / Now applying Mercalli is done on a full untrimmed clip.
For later versions of VS there is a new feature - Replace Mode, icon far left of tool bar, no need to hold CTRl key, just simply drag and drop
