Library folders & favorites

Post by jaco1252 »

I am (still) using Corel Video Studio Ultimate X7 (yikes). In opening my current project over my home network, the file loads fine but the library of folders & clips is empty. Also there are no favorites shown in Titles, Transitions, etc.

I AM opening the app on my main HP machine (Win 10) from my remote (Win 10) laptop through the network. The software is also loaded on my laptop, but I'm not opening it from there. I closeout the project and file on the HP before opening on the laptop. I do have to re-link clips once the project is open, but I'm afraid to save the project from the laptop since I might then lose my clips & favorites in the HP. As you know, libraries & favorites from all projects stay with the software permanently.

Main question: where are the library downloaded clips and favorites stored? Why are they not found even though I'm opening the HP's software? I get NO error messages about not finding app components. Is there a way to re-link the library clips etc through the network? Should I delete the app on my laptop, since somehow it's using the (empty) library & favorites from there?

Thanks
jaco
