MultiCam Capture Lite (VS2022 Ult) fps issue

Hi folks, I'm new to the board and also new to video recording/editing. I ran a search here looking for an answer but didn't find anything, hoping someone can help.

I recently upgraded from VS 2020 to VS 2023 Ultimate, which comes with MultiCam Capture Lite. I tried using it to record some very basic work in a browser. In the settings frame rate is set to 30 fps, but the recording is visibly slower, and when I check properties, it says it's 8.68 fps, which seems weirdly specific.

Any idea why it might not be recording using the fps in the settings? I also use OBS Studio which records correctly, but I'd prefer using MultiCam - I like the simple interface and it came with the VS bundle.

Yes I believe this is an issue affecting VS 2022 MCCL2
Can you please report this problem to Alludo Support

In the meantime I can only suggest you install VS 2020 main program will also install MCCL, I assume that version recorded at the correct frame rate.

I actually couldn't get MCCL in VS2020 to work at all. I didn't see the MCCL separate application in the same way VS2023 installs it (I searched for the app and couldn't find it). Within VS2020 there was a feature that said it would capture the screen, but when I tried to launch it, nothing happened. It was one of the reasons I decided to upgrade to 2023, actually.

I will report the issue to Support as you suggested.

Video Studio 2022 installed folder is named “MultiCam Capture 2.0 Lite”
For 2020 – “MultiCam Capture Lite”
Both should be here C:\Program Files\Corel
You have to install 2020 (only the Main program) to get MultiCam Capture Lite, although the installation file is within the download files here:-
64bit\Ultimate\Setup\RunTime.

The installer of MCCL will check for correct VideoStudio versions. MCCL for VS 2020 will refuse to install with VS 2022 and without VS 2020. If you installed both version of VideoStudio (in this case, 2020 and 2022), both version of MCCL will be installed. But I don't recommend you to install multiple version of VideoStudio because it will cause some problems.

MCCL that comes with VideoStudio 2019, 2020 and 2021 cannot be installed at the same time, the new version will replace old version. MCCL 2.0 comes with VS 2022 will not replace old version.
